The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah has ninety-nine names — one hundred less one — and whoever ahsaha (learns, understands, and lives by them) will enter Paradise." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Notice the word: not memorizes, but ahsaha — to take account of, to internalize. That's what this site is for. Most resources give you a list of 99 names with one-word translations. We go one name at a time, in depth: the linguistic root, where the name appears in the Quran, an original reflection, and practical ways to live it.
How to use this site
- Begin at the beginning. Start with Ar-Rahman, the first name in the traditional order. The order itself is a curriculum — mercy comes first for a reason.
- Take one name per week. Read the page, sit with the reflection, and try one of the three "Living the name" practices. Slow is the point.
- Use the dua. Each page ends with a dua built around that name. Calling on Allah by His names is exactly what the Quran invites us to do (7:180).
